Maude Maher-Bussières, Eng.
I love languages and science: two passions that, on the surface, may not seem very compatible. However, this eclectic combination is what forms the heart of Permutation. After several years in the industry as an engineering consultant, I decided to unite my two loves—a dream that became a reality after I completed my translation studies. Permutation was thus born.
My practical experience in the industry and my varied interests are what allow me to help our clients, as I can quickly define needs and offer personalized solutions. My goal is to put engineering at the service of language by applying engineering practices to this field that does not always go hand in hand with technology.
My motto: “He or she who does not fully understand a text cannot claim to have translated it well.”
Myrianne Côté, Eng.
As far back as I can remember, science and languages have always piqued my curiosity. However, when it came time to choose a career path, I decided to pursue the sciences, starting with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. After a number of years in the industry as an engineer—and a few courses in Spanish, German and Italian—I realized that my passion for words was too strong to ignore. I therefore returned to my first love, and the classroom, to study translation.
My diplomas in hand, I founded Permutation and now have the daily pleasure of working with words while deepening my knowledge of the sciences. I like things done well, if not done perfectly. This is why I am also passionate about optimizing our methods to increase productivity and continually improve the accuracy and quality of our work.
My motto: “No one can achieve perfection… but we can definitely produce something spectacular by 3 o'clock!”
